I’m a boundary breaker, a perspective shifter, an advocate, a reluctant entrepreneur and a relentlessly dedicated mom who realizes my voice is not for everyone.
These are my stories about life with life with my son, Dane Capo … the good, the bad, and the ugly. My son Dane (now 23) was diagnosed with epilepsy, autism and mild-to-moderate mental retardation at an early age. Step by step and day by day, I have fought for Dane’s health, his rights as a human, his ability to live a productive life, and the development of his stunning artistic talent. My fierce determination has transformed an overwhelming personal situation that seemed to offer no tunnel, (let alone any kind of light at the end of it) into a growing art business that not only supports Dane, but also allows his gifts to enrich other peoples’ lives.
